Hosted at the Carlton BrewHouse, the night will honour the proud history of the Association and all women that have played cricket in Victoria over the past 140 years.
The VWCA was responsible for cricket for girls and women in this state from 1905 until full integration with Cricket Victoria was finalised earlier this year.
The first recorded match was played many years before the foundation of the VWCA between the ” Eleven Blues” and the “Eleven Reds” on April 7th, 1874 at Bendigo.
The VWCA grew from there to over 90 teams, including 22 junior teams, competing in the metropolitan area and in Ballarat and Geelong.
