“Cricket Victoria is really invested in Girls Cricket, so we’re excited to see what we can do to further promote cricket in these Schools” – Sophie Crockett (Schools Participation Officer)
Year 7-9 girls from four of the twelve Schools took part in a 4 week competition in a T20 Blast format, which was well received from teachers and pupils alike.
This week Carey Grammar and Mentone Grammar played in the Final with Carey taking the win (9-125 def. Mentone 6-65).
Cricket Victoria will continue to work with the APS & AGSV to include girls cricket again in 2018/19 season and look forward to seeing the remaining eight schools come on board as we continue growing cricket for girls across the Victorian School network.
If you would like further information about the AGSV/APS competition, including how to get involved, please contact Sophie Crockett (Schools Participation Officer) scrockett@cricketvictoria.com.au
