The forum will include a range of guest speakers that will provide girls with the necessary tools to begin their leadership journey.
Sonya Thompson will facilitate the day and brings with her a wealth of knowledge, having worked within the sports industry for more than 15 years. Sonya is currently the Head of Female Cricket at Cricket Victoria and has previously held roles with the Australian Sports Commission, Sport England and Cricket Australia. Recently, Sonya has been a driver for increasing the profile and changing perceptions of female cricket. This included leading the development of the Women’s Big Bash League.
Melbourne Renegades and Victorian young gun Molly Strano along with former NSW Cricketer and respected journalist Ann Mitchell (OAM) will join the panel and discuss the experiences and challenges they have faced in leadership roles. In addition to this, the girls will also have the opportunity to take part in either a cricket session or a coaching master class.
