Australian Test opener Aaron Finch will make his Victorian return alongside fellow Australian T20 squad member Glenn Maxwell.
The inclusions from the national team see batting pair Cameron White and Eamonn Vines out of the side, while fast bowler Andrew Fekete has also been included.
Cricket Victoria Chairman of Selectors Andrew Lynch said:
“We are looking forward to welcoming Aaron Finch and Glenn Maxwell back into a squad that is in good form and looking to build on their strong start to the Shield season.
“The experience of those two will mix nicely with our youth, particularly Seb Gotch and Matt Short who really stood up against Tasmania and combined for that impressive 131-run match winning partnership – another great sign for Victorian cricket amongst the inclusion of Marcus Harris, Peter Handscomb, Chris Tremain, Peter Siddle and Finch in the Test squad announcement yesterday.
“We’re absolutely rapt for those five and know they’re ready for whatever opportunities come their way this summer.”
Victoria play Queensland at the Gabba from Tuesday, November 27 at 10:30am AEDST. The match will be live streamed on cricket.com.au
