Sheffield Shield & Marsh Cup MCG Ticketing Information

These matches are fully ticketed events and are capped up to 5,000 spectators per day of play.

Tickets on sale to public: 5.00pm Monday 1 November

On sale to the public via Ticketek. 

Ticket prices:

Adults – $5.00
Junior – $2.00
Family – $10.00

Tickets for Days 1-3 of the upcoming Marsh Sheffield Shield match between Victoria and New South Wales, will be available via Ticketek from Monday November 1 at 5.00pm AEDT.

Day 4 tickets will become available on Sunday November 7.

Melbourne Stars and Melbourne Renegades Members will receive complimentary access to both fixtures.

Please note: Melbourne Stars and Melbourne Renegades Members will still need to redeem their free ticket via Ticketek.

Match and Spectator Entry Information

Marsh Sheffield Shield – Victoria v New South Wales

November 5-8, MCG
Play commences: 10.30am AEDT

  • Crowd will be capped at 5,000 attendees each day
  • Fully ticketed event.
  • The Sheffield Shield and One-Day Cup matches at the MCG will only be accessible by to fully vaccinated patrons (over the age of 16). Children under 16 years old do not need to be vaccinated but must be accompanied by fully vaccinated adults.
  • Please note crowds will be managed in one ‘zone’ of the Ground.

Entry/Spectator details:

  • Entry only via Gate 2 for both MCC Members and Public. To assist in capacity management and contact tracing, all attendees will sit within the one zone.
  • Upon ticket purchase, you will be allocated a section, row and seat within the Members’ Reserve on a digital ticket sent by Ticketek. Fans will be able to access Levels 1, 2 and 3 of the MCC Members’ Reserve. Toilet facilities on B1 will be used.
  • All patrons over the age must show proof of full-vaccination status prior to entry inside the MCG.
  • Patrons will be required to check-in via the Service Victoria app using their smart device, using the displayed QR codes outside the entrance gates. Patrons will need to ensure their COVID-19 digital certificate is added and linked to QR code check-in function on the Service Victoria App, and show this to match day staff on arrival.
  • For patrons without a smart device, they will be required to provide a printed version of the COVID-19 digital certificate or Immunisation History statement, which can be used as evidence of vaccination. This must be shown to match day staff on arrival.
  • Children under 16 years old do not need to be vaccinated but must be accompanied by fully vaccinated adults.
  • Attendees are reminded to pack your debit or credit card as the MCG now operates as a cashless venue. Please also a fitted face mask as it needs to be worn in any indoor hospitality areas within the Ground and areas of congestion, specifically on public transport and through the security and entry process.
  • Takeaway food and beverage outlets and bars on Level 1 and 3 of the Members’ Reserve will be available to patrons across all days of the fixture. Please see below:
