DAY 1

After winning the toss on the morning of Day 1, Western Australia had no hesitation in electing to bowl first and send the visitors in.

Travis Dean was ruled out pregame with a shoulder complaint which meant Ashley Chandrasinghe would keep his spot.

Victoria went into the first break at 2-66 after losing Harris (19) and Kellaway (6). Matt Short (36) and Mitch Perry (33) supported well but the story of the day was Ashley Chandrasinghe who faced 266 balls unbeaten for 46* at Stumps on Day 1.

DAY 2

WA wrapped up the tail quickly on the morning of Day 2 for just one run before Victoria had their crack with the ball.

Will Sutherland struck first when the score was 42 and then the game changed with Victoria taking 4/11 including a spell of 3/1.

When the day finished due to bad light Victoria had taken five wickets and hold a 20 run lead.

Sutherland ended the day with 4/44.

DAY 3

It was a tough day for Victoria on Day 3, they finished the day with a slender lead but also six wickets down.

After Scott Boland took the wicket of Josh Philippe early in the day it went WA’s way, they batted on to reach 315 with Ashton Turner making his fourth FC century – finishing on 128.

Trailing by 120 runs, it didn’t go Victoria’s way early and wickets continued to fall leaving them 6-122 holding a two run lead at Stumps, largely thanks to 52 from Peter Handscomb and a counter-attacking 40* from Will Sutherland.

DAY 4

Will Sutherland fought with the bat and went on the counter attack, Sutherland Murphy (26) put on over 50 runs to get Victoria up to 210.

Sutherland was the last man out on 83 giving Victoria a lead of 90.

Scott Boland struck early, removing Whiteman with the score on 5.
