Sam Harper and Cameron McClure come into the squad for Nic Maddinson (injury) and Ruwantha Kellapotha. Maddinson will miss the Marsh Cup clash with a slight knee complaint, while Kellapotha has been omitted.
Harper returns to the squad off the back of his strong Sheffield Shield form, scoring the second century of his First-Class career.
Victoria will be looking to bounce back after a three-wicket loss to WA on Saturday at the CitiPower Centre, Matt Short was the standout scoring 75 opening the batting.
Victoria will face Tasmania in both Marsh One-Day Cup and Sheffield Shield matches in the coming week.
Cricket Victoria’s Head of Male Cricket David Hussey said there were some positive signs against WA.
“We had a really hard-fought week against WA in both the Sheffield Shield and One-Day Cup, we were really impressed with how the squad stood up to pressure moments, unfortunately, we weren’t able to get the results but were pleased with the way we went about it,” Hussey said.
“These fixtures in Launceston and Hobart will provide different conditions to those that we’ve seen in Melbourne and will offer up a fresh challenge with both bat and ball.”
Victoria has one win and two losses in the Marsh One-Day Cup Competition.
