As a result, 22 year-old Sutherland will be required to quarantine for 10 days at the team’s hotel in Sydney. Sutherland is fully vaccinated.
The remainder of the Victorian squad and support staff underwent testing today. Results of those tests are expected this evening and overnight.
Cricket Victoria General Manager – Cricket Performance Shaun Graf said: “It’s obviously disappointing for Will. He is currently displaying some mild symptoms. We’ll be working closely with our medical staff, Cricket Australia and the NSW Department of Health to support him through this quarantine and isolation and have him return to Melbourne when he is cleared to do so.”
