But not even this distinguished group of cricketing might can match the accomplishment of Craig Dodson.
The 41-year-old father of two turned out for 11 teams in just one Australian season and it was all for a good cause.
Dodson experienced depression a decade ago and used his 11 game tour to raise funs for mental health.
Across his 10,000 kilometre journey, Dodson found himself trapped by a bushfire, travelled 1600 kilometres only to make a golden duck and immersed himself in the friendly and welcoming environments cricket clubs offer across five states.
His story is captured in ‘A view of Australia From Fine Leg’ and has already helped raise almost $10,000 for Gotcha4Life – a foundation that funds sustainable educational workshops, training programs and products to improve mental fitness in communities across Australia.
