Volunteers celebrated for raising the bat

This will be the thirteenth consecutive season that Cricket Victoria has hosted a luncheon for the hard working volunteers who have been nominated for a 50 Year Service Recognition award.

In 2015-16, Cricket Victoria was lucky enough to have former Australian test and ODI player Mel Jones and former Test opening batsmen Chris Rogers in attendance at the event, presenting our volunteers with their awards. Guests were also able to enjoy an afternoon viewing the BUPA Sheffield Shield match between Victoria and Queensland.

Guest speakers are yet to be confirmed for this season’s event, however it has been confirmed that the event will be held on Wednesday 1 February, 2017 which is the first day of play in the BUPA Sheffield Shield match between Victoria and old foes NSW.
