Mr Richards has now visited each of the eight country regions – Mallee Murray, West Country, Central Highlands, Barwon, North East Country, Northern Rivers, Gippsland and South East Country – and has met with the Regional Boards and other key stake-holders in the game.
Discussions have centred on the current state of and trends in participation (players, umpires and administrators), facilities, development programs and the overall governance of country cricket.
“I have been impressed with everyone’s passion for the game and their willingness to talk frankly about the challenges facing the game’s future development,” Mr Richards said.
Mr Richards is now due to report to the Cricket Victoria Board in mid-March 2015.
There is still an opportunity for submissions to be made by associations, clubs or individuals. Anyone wishing to contribute their views can write to Mr Richards at cricketreview1415@gmail.com
