Peter Siddle returns to the squad in place of Scott Boland, who has been managed ahead of the international summer of cricket.
This game will also be Matt Short’s final Sheffield Shield game before he heads to India as part of Australia’s T20I side.
Victoria will be looking to make it two Shield victories in a row following their 205-run win against New South Wales last week at the MCG.
“The boys were superb last week on a tough MCG track and took a lot of confidence from the way they played against New South Wales,” Cricket Victoria’s Head of Male Cricket, David Hussey said.
“It was a gritty effort with the bat and a disciplined one with the ball, with all our bowlers standing tall to lead us to our first Shield win of the season.
“We’ll be looking to emulate that performance this week against Tasmania and continue our winning form.”
