Back to Home Week

For a successive summer, the initiative encourages Bartercard Premier Cricket representatives to return to their community clubs to assist in training sessions and activities.

“Back to Home Week gives our Premier cricketers the chance to give something back to the community, their former clubs and its volunteers,” Premier Cricket Strategy and Development Manager Mike Ronchi said.

“We are looking to continue developing a close relationship between Premier Cricket and the wider community.”

Test spinner Bryce McGain is among those returning to a community club, partaking in a Twenty20 at his son’s club, Mount Waverley, in a rare night off from duties with Prahran.

Victorian second XI representative Tom Donnell will also return to Cheltenham Cricket Club, while Dandenong teammate and former Commonwealth Bank Bushrangers rookie Brett Forsyth will head back to Springvale South Cricket Club.

Premier clubs are requested to send their entire playing lists back to their junior clubs, while country Victorians can accompany a current teammate or can elect to visit a local club if distance is an issue on the night.
