TRAINING
Top 4 recommendations (1) Anyone who feels any symptoms stays away, gets tested and awaits a negative result; (2) Only go indoors if necessary and do not spend more than 15 minutes with others indoors; (3) After training socialising is avoided in the period of 48 hours before matches; & (4) Teams train together and keep their distance from other groups - e.g. if possible train in every 2nd net.
Vaccination requirement to train / watch? Based on current State Government advice, the only aspect where full vaccination status is required to be proven is when spectators (12 years of age and older) want to enter in to change rooms and indoor social areas - except for toilet access or emergencies. Players, & coaches do not need to be fully vaccinated to train - however only fully vaccinated should be allowed indoors during training. See the FAQs for more information.
Is after training socialising recommended? Ideally any training sessions held within 48 hours before matches should operate with a get in, train, get out plan. e.g. a Thursday after training dinner indoors could be a trigger for spreading COVID and not allow adequate time for people to get tested before the weekend matches.
Recommended training group size? Ideally teams train separately from other teams both in the nets and on the oval. This may help to minimise the spread of COVID to multiple teams.
Who can attend training? Recommended to be players & coaches only at present to help reduce any potential for spreading COVID-19 further to others. Parents can attend however should keep their distance from training & 1.5m from others.
Can equipment (including cricket balls) be shared? Yes - but sanitise any shared equipment as per normal.
Distance between training groups? Reasonable distance. All attendees keep 1.5m apart at all times.
QR code check-ins required & monitored?
Is indoor training allowed? YES
SOCIAL FUNCTIONS / MEETINGS
Vaccination requirement? Full vaccination status is required for all people 12 years of age & older if attending indoor social functions & meetings. See FAQs for more information.
What is the recommendation for after training/match socialising? Ideally held outdoors. Ideally held after matches and/or training sessions several days before the next match - not after training sessions within 48 hours of a match. This will allow time for COVID-19 testing if there is positive case at a social gathering. Minimise indoor time spent to less than 15 minutes will help minimise the potential spread of COVID-19
QR code check-ins required & monitored?
