Expo takes center stage

Over a three-day period, the expo aims to drive population and investment to regional and rural Victoria.

With sport playing a major role in regional communities, Cricket Victoria took the opportunity to build on country cricket through the use of the expo.

“The expo provided a wonderful vehicle to expose our sport to 10,000 plus people,” Cricket Victoria’s Country Game and Market Development Manager Chris Harris said.

“It allowed for us to get our brands out to parents and kids.”

Along with providing information on programs, Cricket Victoria held activities for participants to get involved in, as well as providing giveaways.

Commonwealth Bank Bushranger Clint McKay and VicSpirit sisters, Meg and Anna Lanning, were also in attendance to show their support for country cricket.

Special guest appearances were also made by Big Bash League mascots ‘Starman’ and ‘Sledge’, who entertained the crowd with numerous giveaways.

Along with Cricket Victoria, AFL Victoria and Netball Victoria also took the chance to target the country, providing information at the expo.
