Back to back wins for under-15s

Batting first, Victoria posted 7-112 of their allotted overs with Tasmania falling 39 runs short in reply when they were restricted to 9-72.

Annabel Sutherland got the Victorians off to a strong start with a quick fire 25 off 28 deliveries to get the innings going.

A shaky middle over period left Victoria struggling at 7-76 and looking like batting the whole 20 overs could be a struggle.

Then came Samantha Ryan and Nicole Faltum who took the attack to the Tasmanian bowlers and lifted the score to a defendable 7-112.

Ryan ended up with a powerful 20 off just 16 deliveries, whilst Faltum chipped in with 15 off 16 balls to end the innings strongly.

Maddison Baird got the start the girls needed snaring a wicket when she trapped the Tasmanian opener Zoe Lowry with the score on three.

After starring with the ball in the last game, Sam Ryan was at it once again bowling her four overs for just three runs whilst also picking up a wicket.

Fielding was at the forefront for the girls today and it showed with four of the nine Tasmanian wickets to fall via run outs.

Back to back wins has given the side a lot of momentum for the rest of the National Championships and they will look to keep their winning ways going against New South Wales Academy at Benson Lane Oval #2.
