Renegades scorched at the Furnace

Having restricted the Scorchers to 7-117 thanks to a superb bowling performance by Nathan Rimmington (2-14), Muttiah Muralidaran (1-13) and Will Sheridan (1-24), the Renegades looked to have the run chase in hand as Aaron Finch (15) and Alex Doolan (21) raced to 0-38 in the fifth over.
The skipper’s departure sparked a collapse of 7-33, however, as the Renegades required 13 from the final over for victory before reaching 8-111.
